I agree 100% padre. I know that these animals were roadkill but to deprive anything of dignity in death is abhorrent to me and i am sure many others. This is not art, nor is pickling a sheep or whatever in formaldehyde. have to say I am not a great fan of full mask sporrans either. I personally feel that a line has been crossed and for someone to see the humour in this is somewhat sad.
I have no issues with the beer and if someone wants to spend obscene amounts of money on the worlds strongest beer then bully for them. I personally would prefer to spend the money on some bespoke tailoring which will last far longer than the hangover created by a 55% alcohol beer.

My sentiments exactly! I am not against clothing made from animal skins and hides in all circumstances (eg. sporrans, shoes, belts etc.) but there is something gratuitous and vulgar about this. There is a line although it is hard to place with exactitude but I do recognise when it has been crossed as it has in this instance. (I also don't personally care for full-mask sporrans, although others wearing them does not quite cross the line for me)

Re: $765 !!!!!!!!!!!!!
I’m shocked that a beer poured from animals prepared by a professional taxidermist is so offensive to so many of you that don’t think twice about eating haggis…you do realize that haggis is a dish made from innards stuffed into other innards, right?!?!?!? What’s the difference? I mean it’s not like the mounted squirrel is the actual vessel that the beer comes in, it’s just a wrap around a bottle. End of rant…

I gotta say I agree with AZ here. While I would never in a million years spend that much money on beer (I'd rather make it myself) I have no problem with it and think it's actually a pretty cool idea.

Re: $765 !!!!!!!!!!!!!
Personally, it's way more than I'd spend on what amounts to a fur beer cozie. I could buy a whole lot of New Castle and Jäger for that.
But he outrage over the packaging seems a bit overboard. I wear leather boots. My wallet is leather. The jacket or vest I wear when I ride, yup, leather. I eat meat. I hunt.
These animals weren't killed FOR novelty bottles, not that I'd have a problem with that. These were roadkill carcasses that would be left to rot.
I know folks get weepy over cute little fuzzy animals, and there's nothing wrong with that.
But don't cry outrage over a joke. If you don't want critter wrapped beer, then don't buy it.

Re: $765 !!!!!!!!!!!!!
The closest I've come to that beer is playing with the empty bottle... er... cozie... Whatever. Brewdog, the brewery responsible for that monstrosity was an official sponsor of our St. Andrews Ball in Tokyo last year, and we got to sample some of their wares (the 18% beer was really something).... Unfortunately I was not privy to the squirrel-beer tasting, which apparently happened a night or two prior, I was told. When I asked how it was (taste-wise), they said that it was good, but certainly not $765 good. But they did bring the taxidermified bottle for people to look at though...
