Oh, it certainly does!

Meh, told you I was grumpy when I wrote that, should have passed on the post. No offense intended Punky.

Re: Where Do You Wear Your Kilt?
I generally wear my kilt in the same place: around my waist...

Is that avatar photo yourself? Is that a Celtic Football Club tartan, or the green & white MacDonald tartan? (I always thought that MacDonald tartan would work very well as a Celtic FC tartan. A local High School, which has a pipe band, wears that tartan because the school's colours are green and white.)
I've not worn a kilt to our local football matches, those of the LA Galaxy. We do have a local pipe band whose kilts happen to be in Galaxy colours (deep blue and golden yellow). Perhaps I could borrow one...

Wherever and whenever the mood strikes me. However, I do not wear Highland dress to work.
Cheers,

Re: Where Do You Wear Your Kilt?
I wear mine to work about once or twice a week in a government social service agency. Out to dinner or events on the weekends and, often times, on hiking adventures. Other than the hiking trips, I wear the kilt leaning more towards the traditional with kilt hose, garter ties, sporran, kilt belt etc.
I do consider it a special way to dress, but not exclusively for special occasions. Does that make sense?

I'm wearing mine today at a mid-Paddy's Day party/new job party.
Have fun and throw far. In that order, too. - o1d_dude

Almost everywhere, at home, around the house, close to home, far from home, in any foreign country I visit.
To me the kilt is just another but high valued piece of cloth.

Re: Where Do You Wear Your Kilt?
I were my kilt to weddings, banquets, symphony, theatre, church, kilt nights, concerts, and whenever else the "feeling" strikes.... I wear it for fun, and to add a little pizaaz to the day. Plus, whatever the occasion or event, I feel great wearing the kilt.

Re: Where Do You Wear Your Kilt?
I wear my kilt on any friendly occasion and, of course, for celtic events. My friends know that if they invite me, I "disembark" very often in highland dress: me and my kilt are always welcome! From family barbecue to formal weddings, the job is to be on the right dress level. From a simple t-shirt or a ghillie shirt with day sporran for casual events to a full formal PC attire for black-tie evenings: there are so much possibilities!
