So, to do the wedding justice you will need to know how it works, so, in conjunction with reason two, making sure it fits in ALL situations an intensive series of, but low key(yes, yes, security must be tight) tests MUST take place. You will need to test the following:-

    1. The fit----you are two pounds heavier/lighter than you were, er, yesterday/day before that/5 minutes ago------.
    2. How the pleats react to wind.
    3. You will need to experiment with the various height combinations.
    4. Practice sitting correctly (can't have any disasters on the big day!)
    5. Test how the pleats react to long journeys.
    6. You WILL need to know how long unwanted creases take to drop out.

And the list goes on. Of course ALL this technical information is ESSENTIAL to make the day extra special("time spent in reconnaissance is seldom wasted", and all that). All that is required is a modicum of creative thinking!

    Good luck to you both.

Jock, she would see right through that... In fact I'm sure she knew someone would suggest it to Brute a long time back. , and she is waiting for him to wear the kilt, catching him in the act of course, then seventeen years from now she can bring it up in the middle of a football game when she wants the house cleaned. Not that she won't bring it up many other times... along with many other things of which Brute is guilty...

Good luck, Brute, and hope all goes well.

    3 rules

Congratulations and wishes for a long and happy life together (with wife and kilt)

Three rules for a sucessful marriage:

    1) "Yes dear, you're absolutely right."

    2) "I'm sorry honey, it's all my fault."

    3) Frequent foot massages.

In my experience in the Highlands the kilt is male territory and females if they dare, including brides to be, tread very carefully should they venture there.

Haha well luckily she has been to a few games with me kilted, so she knows somewhat to expect. The only thing I am worried about is one of my groomsmen who regularly goes "regimental" and is sadly not shy about it...at all....

The solution is simple. Tell him straight and mean it, that if he is not prepared to tow the line, he does not come to the wedding. No if's, or, but's.

If he has any thought for you and the bride and future friendship he will behave. If he wants to be selfish, then you don't want him.

It is too late after the event for his behaviour to be discussed, the damage has been done!

I am thinking he will be restained, thankfully he has been in the family so long everyone is use to his antics! Haha. But, I will have a word with him ;-).
