as me southern brethren says, welcome, except of course, from the kentucky side of the appalachians.
daneel, i'm impressed with your high esteem of Scouting. i scouted for 17 years with Troop 353, Rattlesnake Patrol, of the Dan Beard Council based in Cincinnati, Ohio. never did make Eagle, though.
the mrs. and i grow trees, play music, make wooden gizmos, cherish our grand children and play with computers.
though the recent family has 300 years in America, i descend from the Families, Ewing - Clan McLachlan, and Beatty - Clan McBeth\McBean, dependin' on which way the wind blows.
best regards from the Bluegrass of Kentucky.
ambrose ...
ps, and with all due and utmost respect to well dressed Texans ..
this fella come up from texas a while back and was boastin' at how big things are down in texas. 'course them texans gotta brag about everything 'cept their hat size.
why, he started spinnin' a tale about how big the eggs were that his texas chickens lay. he went on and on, braggin' and boastin' and told me that it would take three days and a twenty mule team wagon just to get around one 'a them fine texan eggs.
i looked 'em up and down, tall feller that he was, and said, "heck boy, that ain't nothin'. we build the pans to fry 'em in."

kentucky. home of wild women, fast horses and damned fine whuskey!
