Re: Cincinnati Celtic Festival
Hmmm, I've never been to this, yet I have only lived in Cincinnati for less than a year. I work within a 2 minute walk from Fountain Square. Nicholson's (just a block or two over, on Walnut Street) is definitely a post-festival dinner/pints, kind of place.
Cheers,

I work downtown, too. Sadly, I have never been to Nicholson's.

If you are passionate about great food and equally great pints and drams, then you will enjoy Nicholson's. There's a pretty good vibe there too, and I have been to many a pub, all around the world. Great wee spot here in the States, and especially for southwestern Ohio.

Never been to this one; will have to see what the wife has in mind for this weekend. I bet I can work in a stop sometime Saturday most likely. Haven't been to fountain square since my wife and I attended a concert near there on Valentine's day (actually she was my girlfriend at the time I proposed on stage during the concert). Maybe if we get a few from here planning to attend we can plan a meet and greet during the festival.

Re: Cincinnati Celtic Festival
I'm afraid my wife and I already have plans to celebrate our wedding anniversary on Saturday, so we shall not be there.

It's my understanding that the Cincinnati Caledonian Pipes and Drums are very highly involved in the Celtic Festival (and that's why they're not competing at the Central Kentucky Highland Games). They'll probably be performing at least once.

Thanks! I'm sorry mate, but I am afraid I am not a Bengals fan - I am originally from St. Louis, MO, born and raised. I've only been living here in Cincinnati (my wife is from Cincy) since December 2010. So, I am indeed a Rams and Cardinals fan!
Best wishes,

Re: Cincinnati Celtic Festival
I won't be able to make it down this weekend for this one. Too much going on all over the place.
I agree that Nicholson's is worth a visit. Great little place. That said, I hear the Cardinal fans are routinely flogged there.
