MacBeth opening night in a kilt

I posted earlier about the theatre I work at doing MacBeth in kilts. Well, I thought it would be only appropriate to don mine for opening night. I was delighted to find that I wasn't the only one. I saw at least 5 other men in kilts at the show. I also learned that, unbeknowest to me, there is a piper that comes to the park to play nearly every sunday. I had no idea there was such a kilted community in this backwards city.

Also, my expectations of making converts of the actors who wear kilts in the play were realized already. The actor that plays the role of Banquo came up to me at the after party and complimented me on my kilt and asked "you make them don't you?" I replied with an affirmative and he asked for my card. To quote Glen... Life is Good

Congrats, Chris! You just never know how much you might be influencing others. I've said it before... every tree starts with a seed.

The Stratford Festival is doing MacR's this year. I'm building 4 kilts for the production. Actually will begin working on them today. Also a number of actors have asked me to build them kilts as well.
At opening week every year here, the Perth County Pipe band plays at the opening night galla. It's quite the evening.
I'm looking forward to seeing a lot of kilted folk this year.
    Cheers

It always feels good to introduce someone to Kilt wearing. Sounds like you had a good evening !

When is opening night Canuck? You never know when I'll pack up the family and travel down. You are about 2 1/2 hours from me.

It previews May 19th and opens June 4th. It's going into rehearsal in a couple of weeks. Some of the cast members are in Lear in New York right now.

OK 2and 1/2 hours give me a hint. What direction and let's see if I can guess. Windsor to the west, Peterborough to the north East, Barrie, Collingwood to the North, Niagra ...St. Catherines to the South. How am I doing?

I am lurking in the shadows, always watching. I am the shadowy figure you see in the dark as you walk home late at night. I am the one who makes the sounds in the forest as you camp. I am the one who disappears when you swing around to see who is watching you.....

Over the top hmmm Bruce Trail maybe, as I ponder 2.5 hours north of me. which puts me on the south shores of Georgian Bay around Meaford, Owen Sound. depending on how slow I drive. Tobermory is around three hours. I think I best look at a map Then again there's Creemore good beer. May not get past there. Alliston?
