A sad fact............
I've just been over to Tom's Cafe and clicked on 'new posts' as usual. I looked down a long list of things I hadn't read - new topics and comments on established ones. There wasn't a single thing on that list that I felt inclined to view.
With respect to Tom Manual, who has put an awful lot of hard work into that site, the content and those who post there seem not to interest me anymore. I then realised that most of the guys I liked to respond to are here, at Xmarks.
I doubt I will visit Tom's much more in the future. I have moved on......

Al'... I left about a month ago and haven't been back. Like you, I found that the discussions generally have fallen outside of my particular area of interest. It has turned into an "Atrium Lite". Too bad. I also have a lot of admiration for Tom.

Okay, Tom's Cafe was a nice website, but lately, it had been hijacked by the militant group of skirters/frestyler. I don't really care about the agenda that they are trying to push.

I never was originally at Tom's, but after hearing about it for a little bit at Braveheart's, I decided to take a look. Is it just me, or does anyone else have any trouble finding anything remotely masculine over there (not trying to knock the site or anyhting, just curious)

I've never been there, but from what everyone else says, that seems to be the case.

I like the format of the site, easy to post n keep track of the posts.I admit it's the first place I check, this being the second,I agree there's too much us n them freestylyers ( who came up with that PC name?) VS kilters. also a lot of whiners(wingers),we need a cause? *** just wear your kilt. I have been thinking of not visiting the site for some time now, but keep going back, there are some good guys there still, and it's a shame to tar them all with the same brush.I'm not gunna let the few cryers out there put me off an otherwise good forum.lets try not to be too closed minded. this post is not directed at any one person, just my 2c.

It only takes one man in a red mini skirt and knee socks popping up on my computer for me to log off. But I must say, the one time it happened was too much.
I imagine that's why the server where I work blocks it as a "Lingerie and Swimsuit" site.

Phil... I agree that there are still a few great guys posting at Toms. But despite a few meritorious discussions there, I just got tired of tip-toeing around the nail polish and pantyhose although the rants from that bonehead DA***y was reason enough to bow out. I'm surprised Ingy and a few others haven't found Xmarks yet.

Confidence isn't common
I'm with Phil H- Just Wear The Kilt.
As it happens, my daily is a Mountain Kilt, but I've never hesitated to wear what I want.
Admittedly, I've reconsidered based on potential damage to my good wool, but not because of fear or shame.
From reading at Tom's (which I do usually check first), not everyone has it in him to JWTK.
They need support, encouragement, and, for some, pantyhose <shiver>. Tom and his crowd are there for them.
For those who *can* JWTK, X Marks the Scot. And we keep coming back.
Ain't the web great?
