Re: New management
So now i'm left wondering what to do with the 24 44oz bottles of Heinz ketchup/catsup I just acquired from a friend that works at the factory. I was expecting it to last a couple of years. Gets used on hamburgers and hot dogs and french fries on occasion. Never heard of using it on potato chips, we use french onion dip for that.
....And do I want to know what HP sauce is?

Marvellous condiment - stands for "House of Parliament" Somewhat more tangy than ketchup and certainly the right flavour if it's what you like. I do!

HP is a brand name like Heinz . the sauce is a brown concoction which is fruity and spicy and is a highly regarded condiment mostly consumed in the midlands and the north of the uk. Found mostly inside a bacon butty.
Forgive my ignorance of the American culinary arts but is Catsup and Ketchup the same thing. Ketchup over here is a tomato sauce that you would indeed put on British chips (not crisps) although ironically there used to be tomato sauce flavoured crisps.

Spelling varies based on which brand name makes it...Heinz Ketchup, Hunt's Catsup, except for proprietary variations in their recipies, they are both identical tomato based.
Although they are both potatoes and both fried, french fries are served hot and eaten with ketchup but chips(crisps) are room temperature and eaten plain or with a dip. (At least in this part of the US)

Re: New management
HP sauce is great, especially on fried toast.. Yes that is right fried toast. When I was young my best friends parents were English and his mom would make us fried toast from the bacon drippings. Mmmmm good with HP on it. No ketchup there. I was in Scotland this summer and found a B&B owner that even offered to make fried toast for me. With my family history of heart disease I had to refuse and just ate the normal big Scottish breakfast of eggs, ham, sausage, potato pancake, and mmm black pudding. HP is a delicious sauce and memory....

Re: Request for compensation.
To: HRH Queen Elizabeth II
Subj: Request for due compensation.
1) I was born in the State of California. At the time of the unpleasantness of 1776, Calfornia was a part of the Spanish Monarchy. Therefore, I am requesting due compensation for displacement from lands not owned by the Crown.
2) I served 22 years in the Naval Service of the United States. Unlike the Royal Navy, we are not afforded appropriate rations with regard to the ardous service that we provide. I therefore additionally request an amount of Single Malt Whisky of appropriate age and grade that would have been provided and consumed by an average Tar. Seeing that the world supply might be low, I will settle for 4 barrels.
3) Regarding Chips, Crisps and HP Sauce: I offer my services for the education effort.
4) Regarding the firearms issue: All I can offer is a hearty "Good Luck." Weapons were originally allowed in these colonies for the collection of game. We were pretty good shots back in 1776; we've improved our collective aim since then. Yes, I will not argue the fact that a Canadian Sniper team currently has the record for the longest shot but kindly keep in mind that they were using U.S. made ammunition and our team had to leave as part of their rotation.
5) Since you will be reclaiming these lands and demanding back taxes, please excuse us for removing the renovations and alterations that we have erected. We're sure that you'll understand because you 'll likely want to erect your own statuary and monuments anyway.
6) You are invited to remove the existing Federal Government for incarceration. Or Knighthood. Just take them all, please.
Thank you for your consideration in this matter from a person who the current government considers being a potential terrorist due to a combination of my age, my race and my military service.

Re: New management
11. You will cease playing American football. There are only two kinds of
proper football; one you call soccer, and rugby (dominated by the New
Zealanders). Those of you brave enough will, in time, be allowed to play rugby
(which has some similarities to American football, but does not involve
stopping for a rest every twenty seconds or wearing full kevlar body armour
like a bunch of nancies).
Being Canadian, and also growing up with CFL, I have common ground with the Americans on this one... But I have a great idea for a compromise.
We'll do away with American-style football as soon as the Brits do away with cricket! Deal?
