			 Semi-Trad Law Enforcement Memorial

After a thorough jonesing period, my kilt has finally arrived!
Quick & dirty review: the fit is perfect (like it was made for me
) and everything looks fantastic. This is my first tartan kilt, so I was surprised how ineffective the Internet is for displaying the colors properly; it just doesn't do it justice. I wasn't sure what to expect with PV and I have to say I'm quite impressed with the fabric; it has much more texture than I was anticipating (which is a good thing) and while the fabric is cool and light, I don't feel like it's about to blow right off of me. I'm extremely impressed and would recommend a semi-traditional from USA Kilts to anyone looking for a light-weight kilt (and I was also impressed with their ability to cram so much stuff into such a tiny box without putting too many wrinkles in the kilt - I though for sure I had only received part of my order).
Here are the pics to prove it happened. I understand I'm not dressed in traditional fashion, but by all means, please let me know if I've got anything completely out of whack (flashes in the wrong spot, sporran not at the right height, etc...). Jock, I love your comments, so let me apologize in advance for the flatcap.

sorry to mute the color, my wife insisted this would look better ;)

and though it's not a USA Kilt, my son had to get in on the action with his SportKilt

I think it looks great. I'm saving my pennies to get one in that tartan. The only thing I could find fault with was where you had sgain dubh. You may fing that it's not only more comfortable but also easier to reach if it's tucked into the sock/hose along the outside of the calf.

Ah, that would make sense. I could definitely use a bit more comfort there and figured I must have had something a little off. Thanks

On a side note, I've got my sporran strap buckle centered in the back, is this correct?

My personal preference, I wear my sporran strap buckle on my left hip. It is easier to buckle it myself on my side rather than behind my back. And if I don't take it off to drive, it doesn't press into my back and not scratch up my car seat.

That tartan is on my list for sure, both little brothers and I have served in law enforcement. I love the USA Kilts semi trads - have purchased 13 so far.
I used to center my sporran strap buckle in the back but it dug in when I was seated - and driving. Now wear it in front, behind the sporran on the right side....unless it sticks out a bit - but I don't care if it does. I like it up front. And I can still slide the sporran to my left next to the car door when I'm driving.
