You should have just posted them anyway Trefor, I'm sure I for one, am robust enough to handle the heat although it's reassuring to know that you care enough to protect me.

Although we on the forum are certainly able to "absorb" insults from time to time from the few disgrunted members, I truly appreciate our forum moderators who uphold the dignity and integrity of our precious X Marks The Scot through the review of questionable comments and language.

Many thanks to all forum moderators!

Sorry, did I sound as though I was suggesting otherwise? That was not my intent. Allow me to clarify.

I've met Trefor (McClef) personally on more than one occasion and my chortle ( this one... ) was aimed at him in a light hearted way as I regard him as a friend and always appreciate mates who are prepared to intervene.

I was not having a dig at the moderating staff or the system in place. I have no argument with the way things are done around here and if I did, I wouldn't be here.

I whole-heartedly agree with you Chewse and here's to all the forum Moderators
And long may they sit in moderation. Moderating, moderately.

And Chewse you should hear John after a pub crawl in Dumfries! :

In a forum such as X Marks though we have to maintain higher standards of language then me might do with mates. It's not what may or may not offend us personally but what may offend other X Markers. Here we have a standard of decorum that helps maintain our international reputation.

It's too late to protect John

A good practice in life as well as this forum, John. I am an imperfect person and admit to faults and failings, so if someone has a problem with me I welcome them to address it with me personally privately. I have little respect for someone who starts whispering campaigns or comments blurted out to the masses with out having gone to the source first.
