Looks nice Mike. That is an interesting shade of brown, what is it called?
The front apron on your kilt looks good, a real perfect fit, centers nicely on your frame. Enjoy in good health.

Thanks! The color is spice brown, its a heavy cotton twill. Washed it twice and its still rather stiff, although it has loosened up a bit.

Mike: I have 2 in the heavy cotton twill and it will loosen up, but the real upside I have found to the material is that it doesn't wrinkle badly. A minor touch up after washing and you are good to go.

Hi Mike, Looking good there. I also have the spice brown twill from Alt kilt and I can assure you that they are pretty indestructable. I wore mine in Bali and found that if you just damp any creased areas, use your fingers to straighten them, and hang it up overnight, the creases fall out.

Don't know if it's because your pics were taken in the shade but the colours between mine and yours look different

Shoot straight you bastards. Don't make a mess of it. Harry (Breaker) Harbord Morant - Bushveldt Carbineers

Mine is definetly darker shade than yours. Not sure why but I'm keeping it anyway! Really like it!! I will be getting another from AltKilt, but i will wait a little to order it so I have it for spring. Figures I just got this one and the weather goes from sunny and 70°F (21C) to rainy and 50°F (10C). Hope it warms a little, not ready to put it away for the winter!

Granted, I have only worn mine at freezing temperatures, not sub zero, but some nice wool hose a warm top and a waist length jacket and a wool hat for your head precludes packing away for the winter. There are plenty of pics of folks from the Great White North kilted in winter.
