Re: World war 2 Black watch kilt
Hi McLean,
Things are only worth that people are willing to pay.
For example, on eBay there has been a WW1 piper's kilt, doublet and plaid (with provenance) on auction. It is now on the 7th, 28day period, that is to say that it has been on auction for at least 196 days. The starting bid is £500 and they want another £35 for secure postage and packing. There have been no bidders - not one.
Likewise, you can buy, on Buy It Now a brand new, un-issued Black Watch kilt for £110.
So I would think that yours would be somewhere in between (closer to the £110).
Regards
Chas
