I had forgotten about this. We ran acorss the Road to Bali movie on TV with Bob Hope and Bing Crosby in kilts! Sorry to disappoint you but in a few scenes you can see Bob Hope in white and black stripped boxers...guess that answers that question!

Can't tell the tartan type (reception was not that good).

Guess I'll have to add that to the Tartan Day movie list.
