Whilst I too am relatively new at daily kilting, I find myself more an more comfortable with myself and the community while in a kilt.
I find that I am less self-conscious, it's like I sometimes even forget I have a kilt on and wonder why people are staring at me - well, almost.
But that is very different to the novelty wearing off.

It's a valid question Blu, but the kilt is SO special that i doubt whether wearing it will ever become boring.
Only today I was working in shorts, sitting at a computer and I felt very uncomfortable, my vitals were feeling so cramped that I just had to rip the shorts off as quick as i could and put a kilt on. (no, I was in the office alone!!)

The feeling of freedom in a kilt is now so much a part of me that I really feel uneasy in anything else.
I certainly would not want to wear long trousers again, shorts are a bit of a compromise for certain situations.

On the topic of shorts, I still find it strange, even bizarre that in Australia, shorts are so accepted as normal dress and don't attract a second thought, whereas a kilt is such a strange thing!

All that seperates the two is a bit of stitching between the legs, but a world of difference exists in terms of acceptance.

Who can understand that??
