    Re: Favorite Duck Recipes

Mr. GGGP is a duck hunter.
He makes this duck gumbo that is great:

But he brines the duck meat for 24 hours beforehand and adds ochra to the gumbo.

I'm not a big duck fan, but I really enjoy this meal.

Also, Ducks Unlimited has a lot of ideas:

As a DU member/supporter, I can second the great recipies that they publish monthly in their magazine and on-line newsletters.

I wonder if there is enough interest in a kilted duck hunt? Probably too spread out around the country/world, but it could be fun.

    Re: Favorite Duck Recipes

Sorry, Ducky! Your days may be limited!

So many great ideas, so thank you everyone! I wonder if I could try them all at one time! The poor ducks will be boiled, grilled, seared, pan fried, roasted, placed in foil over coals, poked, prodded, seasoned, stuffed, glazed, and finally plunged into ice water and broiled! And if that's not enough, you're gumbo, duckies!
