Just to let anyone who's interested know England beat Wales 31 - 21 and Ireland beat Italy 19 - 3.
And lest we forget ENGLAND are the World champions.
Oh for the Americans out there thats not like your world superbowl, this really means the world. Only teasing no hate mail please

...and France have just beaten Scotland 31-0 in Edinburgh. Scottish rugby is definitely in a rut at the moment - they didn't really look like scoring until the very last minute.
England may be world champions, but we're not the same team without Martin Johnson. We've got to improve greatly on our performances so far this championship if we're going to beat France in Paris next Saturday by the 8 points necessary to win the 6 nations.
Cheers
David.

Oh, forgot to say....
...lots more kilts on display at Murrayfield again today. Their rugby might not be up to much at the moment but the Scots do put on a great pre-match show, and Darius (pop artist in case you guys from across the pond haven't heard of him) looked great in what looked like a kilt specially made for the occasion - the design was effectively the scottish flag, and looked marvellous. I'll see if I can get a piccie of it....
Cheers
David.

I made a point of looking at the pre-match ceremony on TV, David. The Rugby holds no interest at all for me, although it was our school game (way back in pre-history!), but I knew the pipe-bands would be in evidence and, hopefully, plenty of kilts in the stadium. Darius' appearance was a bonus. I've seen him many times previously in kilts, but the one he wore today was spectacular: navy blue with the Cross of St.Andrew 'stencilled (?) across the pleats at the back. The same Cross design was also on the front of his sporran and on the buckle of his belt.
Unfortunately, the whole thing was spoiled by the sports commentators prattling away throughout!

rugby kilts and darius?
Hi chaps,
sorry Calico Jack I should have broken it to you gently, there are other places in the world .
David I couldn't agree more England are missing Jonno's motivational force, I'll be watching this Saturday and hoist a jar to the English 15.
Hi Hamish,
I feel the same way about football, the players are mostly overpaid models for the sponsors now, they daren't tackle one another as they might disturb their £1000 hair do's. I have read something somewhere about the Scottish flag kilt, but for the life of me I can't remember where. I think it was in a Scottish newspaper and the 'flag' is woven in and is selling well, but don't quote me as I've only got a vague recollection of the article.
Cheers Rhino

Spotted some piccies of Darius from Murrayfield on web. Follow the link below:

Unfortunately, the quality of the shots is poor but I hope it gives an idea as to what the kilt looked like.
Cheers
David.
