Recommendations for Florida Fitting and Kilt Purchase

    Hello All,

I am hoping to find a shop in Central Florida where I can be professionally-fitted and purchase a formal, traditional, eight-yard kilt. I would especially like to purchase an House of Edgar kilt or one of similar quality. What I am looking for is an expert who will assure the best fit and highest quality of garment.

I am located in Orlando, but I would certainly be willing to drive an hour or so (over to Tampa/Dunedin), if necessary.

    Thank you for you help!

Alexis Malcolm is in Clewiston, FL. I have no idea where that is, but she's an excellent kilt-maker...!

Expand your horizons - trust yourself - trust the tape. Most kiltmakers provide excellent measuring instructions and by definition the kilt straps allow expansion and contraction.

My usual advise is to deal direct with a full time kiltmaker.

***. You're buying a custom product. For many men, their kilt is the only made-to-measure garment in their closet. Why go through a middleman?

Riverkilt makes a very good point. I had much anxiety about submitting my measurements by email to a kiltmaker who lives far away. I've done that a couple of times now, and it's totally fine. Great fit.
