Well I Did It!
I ordered my first USA Kilt. It is the Victory kilt in Carhart brown.

The reason I went with a solid contemporary kilt is b/c I wanted one for when I go camping and go to concerts and stuff. I will let you all know when it arrives!

It will be worth it. Yeserday I got the 'go ahead' to get my 'birthday kilt' early so I've got it going, my second one from USA...now I'm trying to figure out how I can get one of the traditionals from Jimmy. Our annaversy is in July, I figure in order to get the kilt it'll cost me a cruise...so I just trying to figure out how I can roll the cruise and kilt in one package.
I'm still working on that but I have faith I'll work it out.

I jumped in and ordered a USAkilt too. They had a McCarthy tartan which I haven't found before. Since there are some McCarthys in my family tree I just had to go for it and order one in the traditional style. Now I just have two problems. Being patient and figuring out how to explain to my wife why I just HAD to order another kilt.

You don't need to be too patient! Kelly finished it already and it's on its way on Monday morning!
As for the wife... well... I'm the LAST guy to help you with that one! Right Hank?!

No Hamish
Hank, their website has some good jokes on it, even some I've never heard before!

I'm just trying to come up with any excuse to get another kilt! I'm at the point now where I'm trying birthday, 4th of July, or ANYTHING to get one...at least I'm trying to justify it with my wife. She's understanding BUT I know that may end at anytime without any notice...you know, that 'wives option' thing!

what you do Richard is this: you say "Now listen here woman....."
I always get the last word in our house (....yes dear!)
Seriously, When men get to around 40+ (I don't know how old you are) they start chasing young women, or buy a Harley, or a red sports car, or spend every night at the pub with the mates...
Us, we just want to wear kilts.
So you tell your wife,
"isn't that better than the alternatives? so all I need is just one more kilt!!!"
