    That's what I've always heard.

EDIT: If I do get a pet skunk, would it be wrong of me to name it Sporran?

I can't even imagine trying to bring home a skunk and convince my wife that it is a pet! As to naming it sporran, personally, I would!!!

Not necessarily wrong, but maybe preminescent of a future post-mortem use??

    Re: Skunk Fur Dress Sporran

All this talk about skunk sporrans makes me wish I had skinned and saved the hide of the albino skunk I shot a few years ago. It was the first I had ever seen. Picture ecru with a white stripe barely visible. Would have made a great sporran. They have a major skunk problem in the small Oklahoma town I move from. Where I'm at now, I may have to settle for raccoon.

Quite possibly. I mean, I think it's a fitting tribute... if I were someone's pet, I'd want to end up as a sporran, after my days of playing fetch were done.

Check out this blond skunk that FB is wearing:

I've never seen another one quite like that; I don't know if it was albino or what, but it sure made a good sporran.

...and no, Turpin and I are not loaded.
