Re: Hose and Flashes matching or not
I like them all. They all work with purple socks.

You'll spend all day at the computer if you're looking for kilt hose. Google "shooting socks" and you'll have more luck.

I usually wear black knitted flashes with my purple hose, but of your choices, if it were me choosing what to wear, I would go with the burgundy ones in the top row. Those look really nice to my eye.

Cheers,
With elastic. I prefer the ease of elastic although they do sell traditional garters.

I think Shooting Socks is the same company.

Oh! The yellow would look spectacular with those hose. I also think the green and red would look really good. I don't like the blue, though- the purple looks washed out to my eyes with the light blue next to it.

When you get them, Chris, make sure to send them to me so I can "Jock" them for you.

When given a choice, most people will choose.

Re: Hose and Flashes matching or not
I vote for the top row, too, but I would pick the light blue for last choice. It's too close to the overall tartan color family for me. The others add interest. The bottom row seems to wash out the colors of the kilt.
