    First I should say that I rarely wear a dirk belt, as I'm usually wearing a waistcoat or jacket and I don't like wearing a belt under those.

    For many years I wore this belt buckle with my kilts. I picked up this vintage waistbelt and crossbelt set at a local Games and mounted the hardware on new belts. (The matching brooch was found on Ebay 20 years later.)



    I sold that set to a piper in Scotland a few years ago.

    Nowadays I wear this modern deer's head Celtic buckle by Glen Esk, one of the few modern designs that strikes me as having a nice vintage look. I think it looks good with my vintage sporran cantle
