    Another plus for kilt wearing

Like many, I've had my share of back trouble over the years.

when I drive, I have to use a 'lumbar roll' a foam support for the lower back.

With traditional kilts I am finding that is no longer needed since the kilt gives such good support to the lower back.

No wonder Scots wear them when they're throwing big stones and small trees aboot!

You are so right Graham! My lower back can give
me fits. While wearing my kilt I hardly ever think
    twice about it.

Same here! I have some major spinal damage (unfortunately inoperable) and have constant debilitating pain.
BUT, when The straps are cinched up on my kilt, the extra support does wonders and provides a bit of relief. Gotta love it!

I was a truck driver for years so you can just imagine the shape my back is in. The kilt, at least the traditional rise, is very comfortable and takes some of the stress off.
