I bought the DVD version of Braveheart today and watched the feature where Mel goes thru the whole movie and comments on aspects of it.

Let me ask you......When the Scots are running across the moors in the mist with kilts flying everywhere, do you not feel the same when you don the kilt?

When "Wallace" stands on the hill looking over the glen, claymore in hand, in his fine earthy kilt, do you not feel the same when you don the kilt?

When he holds his chosen lassie in his arms and gives her a hug,
do you not feel the same when you don the kilt?

Sure you do.

We may not be warriors on the battlefield, but the sense of pride, strength and heritage that we identify with when wearing a kilt is very real.
No other article of clothing can possibly affect the body and spirit that a kilt does!

Now that was rather poetic wasn't it! :P
