    Colin,

Somebody is obviously making a packet out of the manufacture and retail of kilt wardrobes.

I was told the other day, I don't know if this is accurate, that 85,000 kilts a year are sold. Surely that many can't end up in wardrobes after weddings???

I believe that they can and do because their owners just don't know any different. Poor folks just haven't found this website. Say Colin, great link. (no tutus )

    Excellent link, Colin, Thanks!

(Some of those yellow Tartans were a bit eye watering, methinks...)

That eye watering yellow tartan is the "MacLeod dress". A little bright perhaps, but you certainly can't miss it. 8)

Sure wouldn't want to wear it in a war zone. Talk about easy targets

Kerry who made my kilt calls it the Loud MacLeod.
After working on a kilt made of MacLeod he says you
have to go to a dark room to let you eyes
    adjust back to normal.

Actually Blu, I believe that one is the "MacLeod Of Lewis" tartan.

The only "Dress" MacLeod I've ever seen is the "MacLeod Winifred Mary dress" tartan; MUCH less eye watering :

My clan (MacCorkhill) is a sept of both the MacLeods (of Lewis) and Gunns, so you may guess why I'm leaning toward the "Gunn Modern" tartan for my next kilt!
