Meghan, let me let you in on an important point of SCD etiquette... It's considered rude to dance with the same partner more than once or twice an evening if there are enough partners to go around. so you're expected to dance with lots of different people, especially while you learn.
It's good because it means you don't have to worry about taking someone along with you.
My wife and I do SCD a lot. (She is one of the teachers for our class.) And I rarely get to dance with her except at balls!!!
It really is a lot of fun, is a great workout and makes you feel very fancy and old fashioned!

Looking good, Chas! Good on ya mate! I love SCD, but more so the many varied reels and Strathspeys 'us Macphersons' dance every time we get together at the Duke of Gordon in Kingussie. Keep it up my friend!
