    Conner Tarton

I have found a number of tartons. Sale items, tartons reguarding geography and an Irish national tarton. However I have recently learned there are tartons specific to the O' Connor,Connor,Conner clan of Ireland and was wondering if anyone had information on these items.

This tartan does not appear to be stock woven by any weaver. (someone please correct me if I'm wrong) A custom weave is, of course, possible.

As this is more of a request for advice than an introduction, this thread has been moved to the more appropriate kilt advice section.

(But please do feel free to do a proper introduction in the Newbie section)

What others have said is correct. It's not a stock tartan from any of the mills. It CAN however be custom woven and made into a kilt for you. While not inexpensive, you would be able to have your choice of weight (13 or 16 oz) and color palette (Modern, Ancient, Muted or Weathered).

Several of the advertisers up here can do this for you at varying costs (depending on the supplier). USA Kilts (my company) will do a custom woven 8 Yard kilt, fly plaid and matching flashes for $749.99 delivered (in the US... international will be $32 more dollars for shipping).

The desire to connect with one's past is strong though. Woulden't you say Father Bill?

Chas, thank you very much for your help. I followed the ' ScottWeb ' name on the internet and O' Connor led to 3 Tartan designs, of which the one you found was listed as O' Connor Comercial Tartan. There were 2 others: O'Connor Dress and O'Connor Royal Na Connaught. Thanks again.
