Mr. Dove and the Pipes of Creation - Continued
I know I haven't added to this story for some time and many of you wondered if I would ever finish it. I've been busy, but I just couldn't leave it unfinished. However, I recommend you go back and read the original thread so you know where the story has gone:

So, since the original thread is old and has been closed, here is the continuation of
Mr. Dove and the Pipes of Creation
Scene 63
Cynthia’s consciousness entered the Churchnet and she found herself standing on a shimmering walkway looking into a village. Of course, she knew it wasn’t really a walkway or a village; it was just the way the signals were interpreted by her mind.
She straightened the virtual business suit she wore and checked the virtual shoulder bag she carried. Patting it gently, she assured herself that the subroutines it carried were available to her.
Hurrying down the walkway, it didn’t take her long to find the building that represented the administrative office of the Inquisition prison. She reached into her bag and pulled out the subroutine she had prepared earlier. Here in the Churchnet it took the form of official Cyberchurch papers.
Approaching the door, she walked up to the guard. Again, it wasn’t a real guard, but instead it was a security program to restrict access. She showed the authorization papers to the guard and he examined them. The guard took longer than she expected and Cynthia worried she would be discovered, but then the guard opened the door to the building and waved her in.
As soon as the door closed, she reached into the bag and pulled out a phone. She opened it and a picture appeared on the small screen. From the screen, Mr. Dove looked back at her. In the physical world he was seated in front of a computer screen and camera.
“I’m in,” she reported. “Go ahead and prepare to enter the prison. I will be ready in a few minutes.”
“Thank you, Cynthia.”
She closed the phone and put it back in her bag. Walking over to one of the file cabinets she opened it and dug out the file that the authorization papers had stated she was retrieving.
Reaching into the bag again, she pulled out two crystal globes, one blue and one green. She threw the blue globe to the floor where it shattered. Sparkling fumes rose from the shards and slowly formed into an exact copy of her current appearance. She handed the file to the copy and it placed the file into its own bag.
Cynthia then walked over to a wall and threw the green globe at the floor between her feet. The fumes rose all around her, obscuring her presence as they took on the shape of a file cabinet identical to the others in the room.
She stood motionless as her copy then moved back to the door and knocked. When the guard opened the door, it checked the file held by the copy and then let it pass by, closing the door behind it.
The image of the file cabinet dissolved and Cynthia moved to the back of the room where another door was located. She bent to examine the large padlock securing the door. Chuckling slightly, she reached into her bag and pulled out a large key, in reality a sophisticated hacking program, and inserted it into the padlock. In a few moments, the lock opened and she opened the door into the prison’s security system.

NOT AGAIN!?!?!?!?!?!
Check the Will to ensure that NO single malt will be sent to Maryland and all gin supplies will be delivered to Jock Scot, move all necessary items to the shelter and ensure supplies will last the estimated time required, make sure that the new location is not recorded at XMTS, crawl in and LOCK THE DOOR!

Scene 64
Sitting behind the wheel of the delivery truck, I watched the gate to the Inquisition prison. Several church policemen were guarding it.
I reached down for the cell phone when it buzzed in my pocket. Flipping open the cover, I answered the call. “Yeah, Steven, what is it? We’re in position.”
Steven had been left behind to guard Cynthia’s body as her consciousness entered the Churchnet. “Sister Cynthia says she has planted the false information in the company’s dispatch and the truck has been diverted. The original trucks clearance codes have been transferred to your truck. You should be able to enter now.”
“Thank you, Steven.” I closed the phone and put it back in my pockets. “Is everyone ready? It’s show time.”
I started the truck and pulled into the street, steering so that I would circle the block before approaching the gate from another direction. As I pulled up to the gate, a guard held up his hand, indicating I should stop. Two other guards pointed their weapons at us.
When I was stopped, the guard walked up to my window. “What’s your business?”
I passed the electronic clipboard to him. “Delivery of canned goods; it’s all in the file there.”
The guard pulled out a scanner pistol and aimed it at the clipboard. Both the pistol and the clipboard lit up and the guard examined the screen on the back of the pistol.
The time seemed to drag and I began to worry, but the guard nodded and seemed to be satisfied. “Okay, you’re clear. When the gate opens, proceed through and wait at the second gate. When it opens, drive straight ahead to the loading dock.”
I took back the clipboard and placed it beside me. “Thanks.”
When the gate opened, I drove the truck into the area between the gates and stopped to wait. The first gate closed, followed by the second gate opening. When the second gate was opened, I drove the truck forward into the compound.
I took out the phone and waited for Steven to answer. “We’re inside; it worked.”
Cynthia pulled the phone from her bag and answered it. Steven’s voice came through. “They’re in, Sister; your plan worked.”
“Understood; I will remain in place until they make their exit; they may need help.”
She put the phone away and moved to the back of the room. There a small door with a large padlock was marked private. This was the Head Inquisitor’s private files.
For a few moments she stood in thought and then exhaled heavily. “God, please forgive me for what I must do to stop this evil man.”
She pulled the hacking key from her bag and opened the padlock, removing it from the door. Then, she pulled an identical padlock from the bag and put it in place of the first one on the door.
Nodding in determination, she moved back to assist Mr. Dove’s rescue attempt.
