    Re: Celtic Woman

I've seen a concert of theirs on PBS when they performed at a castle in Ireland, can't think of the castle's name. However, I was rather pleased to see the pipers performing in this particular concert, wearing Macpherson tartan in the Clan Ancient colours - very cool!

I watched 'The Celts' just this past Monday on PBS, as they are coming here to Cincinnati in a couple of weeks for a Christmas concert - they are pretty good. The Irish flute player, and Uillean piper were just superb!

    Cheers,

Maybe. A friend and his wife want me and my wife to go to that show. If we can rearrange a planned trip to Florida we will be there. My friend has a few kilts, too.

They will be at Cincinnati at the Aranoff Center on Saturday, March 24th. We saw them there 2 years ago - the acoustics are awesome in that place. My wife and I already have tickets.

There is a superb Scottish Pub (Nicholsons) directly across the street from where the concert hall is. My wife and I are going there for dinner before the show. If anyone is interested in joining us, please contact me and we can work out details.

Here's a link to Ticketmaster regarding the Asheville, NC performance of "Believe" in February. Tickets are $30 and $55, with added fees.

I think their stance is part of the image they are portraying - a style of dance if you will. They have a unique way of striding across the floor and moving their gowns. I sometimes find the way they move or stand slightly disconcerting but not all that much considering all they have to offer.

    Question Re: Celtic Woman

I wonder if the pipers sound is live, or part of the extensive backing tracks employed in these shows? Since they seem to use local pipers, it might be fun to try and compare a few different shows etc..

I still keep waiting for the little one jumping around with the fiddle to poke somebody's eye out with the bow.
