Grand Tour of Scotland Series 2

A heads up for all who can access BBC iplayer that Paul Murton is currently being shown in a new series of his Grand Tours of Scotland.

Kilts make periodic appearances but it's a great and fascinating series in any case.

For those who cannot access iplayer it will hopefully appear on you tube in due course.

Re: Grand Tour of Scotland Series 2

An excellant series, well worth watching, he is following the trails from Blacks book from early last century, a worthy follow up to his series on the Clans of Scotland which is still running on one of the Sky Channels
I was watching one of his programmes today in which the 'Canoe Boys' who were kilted paddled around the lochs and inlets of the West of Scotland. I will have to google them to find out more about their journey

Thanks for this thread, its started me off on finding out about the 'Canoe Boys' from 1934 who sailed from Bowling, a mile from where I stay to the Kyle of Lochalsh, a fascinating journey and they were kilted in their canoes all the time. I see you can purchase their book on Amazon and their is lots about them on the net.
