I've got 2 now and the wife promised me an 'inbetween'. I have a classic black with 3 thistle tassels for day wear and a badger fur and silver for formal or evening wear. I got this from Scotland about 20 years ago and it is a classic. Still looking for a skunk...I've threatened to find this and rig it so the flap opens on que when anyone gives me a problem about wearing the kilt!
USAKilts has one I like which is a black with a celtic type metal 'knot' on the flap. This looks like a good 'inbetween' or semi-formal for events. I guess I'm a little traditional becasue I think a kilt looks too plain without a sporran.
Just my view...
