It's hard to tell for sure with so little a view of the fabric, but that looks like the Stewart Modern Hunting tartan.

I agree with Alaskan. This was the first GOOD look I've had at it. I did a pattern search and this look like it...I think we have a winner!!!!!

I've just found "Monarch" on the dish. Quite an interesting show, but since I've come in during the middle, it is a little difficult for me to follow with out all of the charachters' background info. I'll keep watching, though! (and with me speaking "American" English as opposed to the "Queens" English, the accent and slang sometimes makes things a little difficult too...)

    Chef,

The longer you watch it the easier the accents are to understand.
I have only been watching it since the first of the year. You can catch
on to the charters pretty quick too.

Once you watch a few times you'll be hooked.

    Larry,

I had the same problem with understanding them at times. I use the Closed Captioning. Yes, I'm a cheater. I started watching the show in the end of season 2, so I was a little confused too. If you go the web site (BBC or BBCAmerica) you can get the back story from all the episodes. It really helps.

Nah!! The Beeb just needs to teach proper American english. That, or tell their actors to stop talking with rocks in their mouths! And, no Cockney rhyming slang! As if slang wasn't bad enough to learn, that form turns slang on it's ear!

    Woah there, you guys!!

Firstly, I've yet to hear any Cockney rhyming slang in "Monarch of the Glen" (in fact, any slang at all really!)

Secondly, you should just HEAR some of the accents and language attached to many of the American films and TV programmes that are shown here in the United Kingdom! I've given up on them more than once in spite of my having a pretty acute 'ear' for accents and regional dialects.

Ah, we're just teasing each other Hamish.

And admittedly, I do have a hard time understanding some dialects in America.
