Re: UTkilts.com?
Waiting on my first kilt from them now. Hoping to have it before Xmas.
I ordered the UT DELUXE Dark Khaki Utility / Modern Kilt and I'll post pics and a review after it arrives. So far the communication has been great.

No malice intended in the following statements... simply facts:
Brice (the owner) used to be a member here. Not sure if he was banned or just no longer posts, but he hasn't been active for quite some time.
His kilts are all made in Pakistan though I believe he made some of the sporrans (or altered existing ones or something like that). He has an ebay store as well I believe.
EDIT: In looking up his user name ("Bricekolob"), I don't see evidence of him being banned... just no activity for quite a while.

Brice is legitimate. Though perhaps not posting here, there are other resources on the Net where he posts fairly frequently. He actually posted a few days ago that he has wool kilts on offer. If you have any concerns I would email him directly and I am sure he can answer your questions. A little searching and I think that you will find folks pleased with the service and kilts. I personally don't own one, I just know Brice for interactions on the board.

I have some of his kilts, though not his new line of deluxe utility ones. He was awesome to deal with

Re: UTkilts.com?
I just ordered 4 brass and 4 chrome cantles from him. I haven't had any problems with him. He may be a little slow with email response but it is a side buisness for him if I'm not mistaken.

Re: UTkilts.com?
I ordered a 16oz 8 yard Wallace Tartan from him last Wed. and Received it today (Sat.) Great person to deal with and the quality was better then I expected for the price. Although I havn't ordered a Utility style Kilt from UTKilts and can't really comment on that style, but I plan on trying one out after the Holidays. With that fast of service I hardly had the Jones at all. (Ok I'll admit I was jonesing a bit while driving around at work yesterday and every time the Mailman sees me waiting at the box he asks "waiting on a kilt?")

Re: UTkilts.com?
biblemonkey,
I bought a UT DELUXE Dark Khaki Utility off Brice a few weeks ago. He responded to my emails over a couple of days each time with lightening speed and was very helpful. The delivery time was rapid (couple of weeks but then I am in the worlds most remote capital city).
I am very happy with what I got. For the price it is brilliant. It doesn't crinkle and after a few washes is loosing its initial stiffness. It fits very comfortabley and is a nice weight in a breeze.
I think I have mentioned elsewhere, if buying again I would save a few bucks and go for the base model rather than Deluxe. Couple of reasons:I bought the Deluxe because of the extra pockets at the back. They are nicely made but next to useless is size. The extra chrome domes on the front panel serve no purpose other than bling and IMHO detract they from the product.
So for what its worth, Brice and his product gets my tick of approval

Re: UTkilts.com?
Jimmy, it sounds pretty good. Do you have any other cotton kilts to compare the weight to? I e-mailed Brice to ask him what weight the material was, and he wasn't sure of the answer, but he did return my e-mail the same day.
