Check out Tain Through Time http://www.tainmuseum.org.uk/pilgrimage_g.asp?page=102 and the Glenmorangie Distillery at Tain, go out to Portmahomack in Easter Ross and visit the Tarbat Discovery Centre (I had the pleasure of working in the dig at that Pictish monastery years ago).

On the Black Isle, Cromarty, of course, and Fortrose, but also the Clootie Well.
