Strange indeed. I've just been on and opened it directly with no problem. Are others experiencing difficulties and if so does anyone have any suggestions?

FWIW: I opened the pdf in both Mac's Preview and Reader 10.1.1 and it looks fine to me.

The only thing I can think of is that you might need to make some changes to the Acrobat settings so that it automatically processes the document when you open it.
If I get a minute , I'll look at the settings on mine.
    * I have a feeling that your browser is not set to use Adobe to open PDF documents, and that is the issue. I could be wrong, but which browser and operating system are you using? And what does your computer say when you try to open the link to the PDF document?

It seems there was a problem with the Acrobat file I downloaded or something, at least according to those who know (I'm really not that tech savvie), so I'll have to download another copy & try again. I'll let you know if I have any more problems. Thanks.

    Terry,

I really don't know what your problem is with the pdf file. I opened it no problems and I use a very old version (7.0) of Acrobat reader.

Have you tried to right click the pdf and selection "open with" and then selectionning Acrobat reader?

Hi, Thanks for posting this. I'm new to this website. I am currently arranging to hav a kilt made in the MacDougall tartan but I was wondering whether it was possible to purchase this new revived "Heritage MacDougall". I was advised by Dunollie shop that the tartan they have is unfinished and difficult to work with and that they are working on having a commercially available material but it is not yet available.... can you advise? Also, what in your view looks smarter if I can't get the Heritage MacDougall ... the modern or the ancient (from Loch Carron mill). Thanks very much, any advice gratefully received.

The Heritage MacDougall is only available from Dunollie. Finished cloth is now be available with the usual lead-in time for the less common tartans. The unfinished tartan makes a fantastic kilt and is being worn by some very happy people. Contact Dunollie for either.

IMHO, and yes I'm bias, is that the original version (Heritage MacDougall) is sooooo much nicer.

I love the look of the MacDougall Heritage but when I ordered my "tank" last summer the kiltmaker (MacIsaac in Cape Breton) wasn't familiar with the fabric that was then available so I decided on MacDougall Modern. I love it. I also have a box-pleated in MacDougall Ancient just made by John at Keltoi. I love it too. Bit of a Sophie's Choice situation but if pushed I would have to say that the Ancient colours are now my preference. I also saw a swatch of MacDougall muted and it was pretty sharp too.
