Congratulations Artificer
Artificer (Scott) I have just noticed that you have moved from being a Registered Hobbiest to being a Advertiser on the Forum. Just want to congratulate you on the move. I clicked on your advertiser link and saw the new hunting sporran that you created, very nice indeed mate. All the best wishes for continuing success.
Mods, I could not find a section in the Advertisers section for Artificer as yet, so posted it here. Please move post if deemed inappropiate for this area

Congratulations.
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…

Thanks lads! It's a big step, but the "craftsperson" category is no longer an option, so it's step backward to "hobbyist" or step up to "advertiser".
For the time being I'm simply using my facebook page for web presence.
I'm hoping to have a fully functional website going early in the new year, but the full-custom nature of my sporrans has made that an overly complex undertaking up to this point. I think I may have a stumbled onto a solution for that.

I totally understand those issues with custom work, Scott. It seems to me, however, that you have a couple of models of sporrans...like the Lugosi, the soft bodied hunting sporran, and a leather-cantled fur sporran...that you could post with a base price...and then negotiate from there for added options/customization, etc. This is essentially what Matt Newsome has done with the Ferguson Britt sporrans and it seems to work. Posting pics, as you have, of your other custom work is all that much more incentive for people to give them inspiration as to what they might like to own for themselves.
On a personal note, I simply don't understand how you find the time to do all that you do!! You are a master of your craft!
