I've got one of these in the red plaid. I wear it to the beach and when lounging in my RV, around my campsite and at home. Very comfortable and it keeps everything covered nicely.

Mine is green, it was a gift from my wife. I quite like it actually.

I have threatened her that I would bring it with me when we travel and wear it to and from the hotel pool.

Re: The Kilt Bath towel. I think you all should have this

Years ago, when I was a teen-ish sort, my mom brought my brother and I these things called Bath Kilts. These were white terry cloth insides with plaid cotton broadcloth outsides that had a bit of elastic in the waist and fastened with snaps. They were outstanding. While these towels are not to my taste, I sure wish that someone still made the bath kilts.

As an aside I sewed velcro around the top band and it keeps it closed quite nicely.

I picked a red one up for $5 at the second-hand earlier this year, and will be emulating your velcro idea.

I did,no kidding, see someone wearing one of these at the Alexandria Scottish Walk a couple of weeks ago. Thank Whoever you choose to thank among the spectators, not one of the participants. BTW, I was surprised at how many actual kilts I saw in the spectators, dozens along the line of march.

I got one of these from TKN before Brad went out of business and gave it to my nephew. Even though it was sort of a joke from his kiltie uncle, it gets a lot of use. I may win him over yet, bwa ha ha ha.

All Ya'all want to guess what my daughter gave me for my Christmas present this afternoon? You guessed it, this same towel only in the blue. I was so tickeled. Guess I'm easy to amuse huh.

Add some velcro, SportKilt style and it would be a great apres-swimming kilt.
