Has anyone ever heard of "Balmoral Claret" Tartan?

I was browsing Ebay and came across a kilt in what was described as the "Balmoral Claret" tartan. The tartan Ferret doesn't have this tartan listed and I can't find any other info on it. Can I assume it's just a fashion tartan and not restricted as the Balmoral tartan is?

It may be a house tartan of Gold Brothers, ie Heritage of Scotland, as they carry it on their website. To me It looks very similar to House of Edgar's Hebridean Heather tartan, which may not be completely by accident.

Unfortunately, I cant offer any more than that though.

Interesting. Thanks for the info. Here's HOE's Hebridean Heather tartan. It looks almost exactly like the Balmoral Claret.

Balmoral Claret was HOE's original name for that tartan. They were asked by the Royal Family to change the collection name from "Balmoral" to something else (there are 4 or 5 grey tartans in their collection).

The name they changed it to was the Hebridean collection. This tartan was renamed Hebridean Heather.

I really like the tartan as well. However, I have no interest in owning a Balmoral Claret kilt. I just happened to come across it while browsing Ebay and, seeing the name, wondered if it would have the same restrictions as the Balmoral tartan the royal family wears.
