1 year of Xmarks
well today is my 1 year anniversary of joining Xmarks and it has been quite the journey. i first started looking into kilts and all things Scottish when i decided that i was going to get married in a kilt, but i wanted to make sure i was doing it right. and that i would wear the correct tartan. as with most Google searches i was lead here and started reading many of the post but didn't decide to join until i really got serious about my heritage.
Since joining I now have 3 kilts (MacPherson Modern from Sportkilt, Nightstalker tartan from Stillwater [craigslist score!], and a MacPherson Dress from A.S. Campbell Kilts [my wedding kilt]), a full prince charlie outfit, i am currently awaiting the arrival of a argyle jacket that i recently won off ebay, made my very own balmoral bonnet, traced my Scottish heritage back to Scotland (though found no specific clan affiliation), have been too 2 different highland games, joined my local Scottish society, Made some new friends here on the boards (met a few of you as well), and also gotten a few of my friends and family interested in kilts!
So to all of you who may have directly or indirectly given me advice on many things; Thank you! and keep up the good work!

Re: 1 year of Xmarks
I didn't join until April, but thanks to the wisdom of the Great Rabble it feels like much longer. I've learned so much during these few months and I'm looking forward to what 2012 will bring.
Add my thanks to the pile,
Baldy
Scotland is only 1/5 the size of Montana, but Scotland has over 3,000 castles and Montana has none.

I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…
Yes, I have squirrels in my brain…
