heritage of scotland had a boxing day sale, and i bought two 8 yard pv kilts and two pair hose monday. amazingly, i happened to be finishing walking the dogs as the fedex guy pulled up this morning with the package--that's for an order placed monday afternoon and arriving friday. wow. i picked freedom tartan and a black. since nothing exists without pics here, i am posting a few below of the freedom since the detail and quality are more evident than with the black. i have seen some discussion of fabric makeup. the labels say 65% viscose rayon, 35% acetate fibre. the fabric feels like wool to me and has substance--these are heavier than i thought--until you put them on--then you do not notice them. i do not know whether the pv has a teflon coating. the boxing day sale price was $44.42 per kilt (regular price $63.40). shipping was $31 for the lot. hos sent multiple email updates and provided a shipping tracker. 24 inch length.
i forgot to mention: fully lined to depth of 7 inches, hanger loops, 2 sporran loops in the rear. maybe next time i will do a better job with thte pics rather than scurrying to the back yard right after opening the box. after looking at some more of panache's submissions, i am a philistine.
