    The main thing for me is wool socks and quality boots, preferably ones that surpass the depth of the snow. Above the knees, I'm generally warm enough for comfort. Of course, I wouldn't wear my thin cotton kilt, but I'd stick to the heavy wool. Also, a heavy sporran just in case the wind kicks up.

    A sip of whiskey also helps, but maybe that's just me.

    Jimmy, 22 oz is warm no doubt, but that heavy weight would seem to chafe the skin right to the bone! Is it really that comfortable?
