    One more?

    One of the favorite hikes we lead each year is from Montreat to Mount Mitchell (highest point east of the Rockies). 17+ miles one-way, with lots of great spots for lunch and a nap along the route:


    I got a lot of use out of that old Stillwater Wallace. I sold it to someone here on the forum a few years back, and it still looked practically new.


    And finally ( I promise...no more! ) setting Black Locust poles to prevent erosion on a tough bit of trail:
