Try looking in a shop that makes holsters, particularly if they make police belts. They are frequently wider than other belts. Sometimes they even keep them in stock. The belts from motorcycle jackets also make great kilt belts and they are usually much heavier than the kilt belts I've seen in some shops. Don't overlook tool belts, some times they even come in a cool basket weave and you'd just have too re-dye them darker.

Rudi doesn't list them as kilt belts. They are under the "Leather" section. He does have a belt that looks to be the width of a kilt belt, but most of this celtic belts look great. My personal favourite is the 3 colour belt. These are not as wide as the traditional kilt belts, but they look just right with the polyviscose kilts that you and Bear sell.

    Chris,
You could also just check Bear's site, as I believe he will be selling the belts as well. They are a great belt, and just set off a casual kilt perfectly. My second one is on order, and I'm hoping to get it in the next week or so. Then all I need is another kilt.

    lots of belts...

Being a Ren Faire fanatic, I have aquired many types and styles of belt, most of which look great with a Kilt.
Here's a couple of the sites for leather workers that I use...

http://www.eeldrytch.com these guys make several styles of wider belts{3 1/4in. is the standard width}, good full grain leather, and reasonably priced for the quality.

http://www.theinnerbailey.com/ fast, personal service, top quality, if you want something smaller, or in a more medieval style, I have purchased several items from them and all are highest quality.

most will do custom work if you know what you're looking for, and can't find it, I can highly reccomend these craftsmen...

And to Mike in VA, I purchased one of your belts with my AK, and would like to commend you on your craftsmanship.

I have two to the LLBean bridle leather belts which look good with my kilts.

They also work good with thermal molded knife sheaths, such as concealex.

    Kilt Belts

I now have the belts listed on my site. I just sold 4 today for a wedding party.
I have 2 for myself, one black, one brown.
The best part is the buckle. It only needs to be sized once. After that, it fits every time.

These belts are awesome. I wear one everyday, and have worn them with kilts, jeans, and with suits.

    Thank you Snow Dog

Glad you liked the belt from Ameri-Kilt. Does you belt have rivets or screws on the buckle. The original belts had rivets but there was a request for screws to allow changing the buckle
