    Another Zebra Sporran

I have no connection to the seller or the sale....

    http://www.ebay.com/itm/Genuine-Zebr...item43ac562a6c

    Interesting is it not...?

    Unique is it not?

    One of a kind?

    Re: Another Zebra Sporran

I always try to be positive (or at least constructive) about the handyworks of others, but !

The front panel of zebra appears to simply be glued to an existing sporran, with no stitching securing it. It may actually have an unfinished edge - it sort of looks that way in the last picture showing the reverse side of it.

The less said about the tail the better.

Sorry, but it looks ridiculous - and not very practical, the tail is a trip hazard. Not to mention, of the three zebra species, one is endangered and the other two have "threatened" status, so another reason I don't care for this item.

Really...what's the point of the tail? Silliest looking sporran I've seen in quite some time.

There is no way I would wear that even if it was free ,Maybe if I cut the tail off but ,That tail looks Preverted , I mean It looks like it is there to cover up something .

    Re: Another Zebra Sporran

This is a great example of someone making "sporrans" who has no idea what a nice, vintage, authentic sporran looks like.

This is just as ridiculous as the the "antler sporran"(a full whitetail rack mounted on the front of the sporran) that I saw at a past highland games.

I'd encourage everyone to steer clear of this seller. He's obviously cutting and pasting random bits of leather and fur onto cheap sporrans and passing them off as his own.

The shame of it is that it appears he has used a silver armiger's badge as the central decorative element. Scratch that...The real shame of it is that some uninformed person will buy this sporran, wear it to their local highland games, and then lecture everyone else on how it's authentic and custom-made, leaving the rest of us to remark, "Nice sporran, you wear it well", here on XMarks...
