What term would trump "horrendous"? Irritating, dreadful, indescribable, indefinable, awful, sore, odious, unnameable, execrable, horrifying, frightful, flagitious, grievous, monstrous, atrocious, ineffable, painful, detestable, unspeakable, horrific, nasty, terrible, horrible, abominable, frightening, unutterable, ugly?

I hate to be crass or unsophisticated... but the first words that popped into my mind were "stupid looking"; I just couldn't think of a better way to describe my impression. Sorry.

With that tail hanging down I think whoever is wearing this thing is going to look like the south end of a northbound zebra--in other words a bit of an a$$ (donkeys are directly related genetically to at least one species of zebra---more zebra trivia). Apologies for the pun.

    Re: Another Zebra Sporran

His eBay listing calls it "amazing." From Dictionary.com:

    1.
to overwhelm with surprise or sudden wonder; astonish greatly.
    2.
    Obsolete . to bewilder; perplex.

    Synonyms
    1. astound, dumfound, stun, flabbergast. See surprise.

I think that pretty well covers it. . . especially the supposedly obsolete definition!

    Re: Another Zebra Sporran

OK, the thing does look silly and hazardous, but gluing a piece of hide onto the front of an existing sporran is not always a bad way to go.

    I KNOW,

    I KNOW,

    I KNOW.

It is not the same as making it from scratch and there is always some risk it will delaminate in some kind of Extreme Sporran Trial, but I would be far more concerned about the wearer than about the integrity of the sporran in circumstances that would be really dire. Clearly this guy knows why God gave us Gorilla glue.

Having said that, the zebra tail could have been put to much better use- either as part(s) of a sporran or otherwise.

Any Sutherlands looking for a clan badge? Or is that a plaid brooch?
