Perhaps an Ottawa kilt night should be in the offing. Anyone interested?

I spent a few years as a Marine in Ottawa at the American Embassy back in the day when it was at 100 Wellington St. In addition to our duties, it was a great time for us Marines, as we had good relationships with the Camerons, the GGFG and the RCMP. And in that winter of 70-71, there was the 192 inches of snow and wind-chill of -100 F.! I don't miss that! I still have friends in Ottawa from those days and get up that way every now and again. Lovely city! Anyway, I'm confident that you'll have a fine time on this forum - looking forward to it!
Small world - I was GGFG back in the 80s. Did they feed you Brador? That was our usual way of messing with the armoured boys from New York. I remember the 70-71 storm well though I was just a wee lad - I could walk out my second floor bedroom window onto the snowbanks.
Thanks for the welcome

Dude, if you have that at The Manx I might even consider coming from Vancouver.
