    brown and tan rob roy

I got a good deal on some elk hide at the Ft. Bridger Rendezvous in Sept. and planned on making a sporran to sell.

I have made a few black and tan sporrans but had not seen a brown and tan one before , so figured I'd give it a try and let you see how it came out.

I had planned on putting this one up for sale, butit goes so well with my new Colloden Tartan kilt, I think that I may have to keep it.

The tan in the photo came out a little too yellow ,the second picture shows true color.

the buttons I made from a mule deer antler
and the pull strings are braided cow hide

The only problem with keeping it is, that now I have to make a new Brown kilt Belt and sporran strap

This one shows the color better

Wow, that's nice! Did you braid the cord yourself as well?

That looks really good. Nice colors and elk is a really nice leather. Wear it with pride.

Very nice job Joe, as usual. Too bad you have to make strap and belt. While you are at it, put a buckle on it!

I have two of your buckles
One I'm using on my black belt and the other I've been saving for the brown belt that I knew I would have to make someday
