Burns Supper in Austin

Burns Supper enthusiasts can be well fed in Austin. Three events scheduled:

Jan. 23rd at Mister Tramps Sports Pub and Cafe

Jan. 29th at Sherlock's Bakers Street Pub and Grill

Feb. 4th at Crowne Plaza Hotel

I can't comment on any of these, having never been there for this event. The only one I can attend is the one at Mister Tramps.

It appears there are numerous choices in the Central Texas area. I was surprised to see 3 in Austin - that is why I made the post.

Yes, Austin is a great place for anything ethnic!

The one at the Crowne Plaza (put on by the Celtic Center) interests me more than the others. The ticket price is cheaper than the one in Salado, and it's closer to me. HMMMMM!

Anyone else thinking of going to this one?

That would probably be my first choice, but I have a medical school reunion that night (and it is a big one) and fairly far away. I am also out of town for the Sherlock's event. That leaves only one choice for me. I'll try to plan better next year. There are some in Austin interested in getting this better organized for the future. Let's hope we can do it.

Actually;

The Red Lion Pub has one that I think TriolaMJ attends.

The Royal Bank of Scotland, Houston Representative Office, has a private one with certain outside invitees.

And, there is a private one held by ex-pats that choose to exclude Americans. (I have my sources!)
