Well, I have the same poor judgement as I had you pegged as pretty good people from about your 3rd post. Don't make me look like an idiot from here on!

My son loves his creepers, and so do the girls he knows. My wife, as she mentioned, loves them also and finds them quite sexy. GGGP likes them as well. There is a trend here. But being a guy who can't catch a hint if a billboard smacks him on the head, I'll never put something like those on my feet. Just can't do it.

a "creeper" here has a very different definition.

    definition of creeper:

I thought you meant that creepers are now into wearing modern kilts.

Re: Modern kilt + creepers. Yay or Nay?

I wouldn't expect many of our forum's traditionalists (or even those who do wear modern kilts) who are over 30 to care for this style very much. I'm willing to wager than if I were to run a poll and correlate it to those who like or dislike the style, there would be a definite age schism.

Like I said, creepers are IN right now -- but the average age on fashion sites like Lookbook where this is all the craze is in the late teens, early 20s.

Modern-day creepers are only related to post-WWII desert boots in that they both have crepe soles. But these shoes are definitely much thicker-soled than their predecessors from where they get their namesake.

I haven't decided whether I want a pair like this or no, but I thought I'd throw it out there to see what some folks thought about 'em.

I don't need special shoes for creeping brothels. I'm sure any pair I already own would work just fine for that task.
