Re: Stillwater leather kilt jacket and cargo sporran
Looks super! Thank you for making this post. I had thought these were no longer available. May I say the Brown looks excellent with your tartan as well. Cheers.

Stillwater cargos.
I have a Nylon, and leather ones in black and brown. I bought the leather ones as an upgrade on the nylon one as I was so impressed with that.

Nylon - It's had a lot of use and is a bit bashed about now.

Black Leather

Brown Leather
They are by far the most versatile and most frequently worn of all my sporrans. I absolutely love them. Still worth every penny, even with the outrageous import duty I got spanked with when they arrived. Best everyday, off the shelf sporran on the market.
Good choice Jamie. I like the jacket too, it fits you well.

Elf,
Thanks! It isn't a flashy tartan but I just love the wonderful earth tones and it is a favorite of mine because it goes so well with either black or brown accessories. The tartan is a weathered variant on the Lamont tartan that Stillwater Kilts used to offer (it is a wool heavyweight). Jerry stopped selling it a few years ago (he then brought in a wool Black Stewart) but they come up for sale used here on XMTS every now and again. Keep your eyes peeled as they don't tend to last long when they do.
Cheers
Jamie

Re: Stillwater leather kilt jacket and cargo sporran
While i'm quite sure I would love the utility of the cargo sporrans from SWK, I just can't bring myself to buy one. Mostly because the zippers equate it with a fanny/bum pack, at least in my mind, even though thats pretty much what a sporran is. I much prefer a sporran with a flap closure, even though these do look very nice.
And back on topic, I love the brown leather kilt jacket. You wear it in quite the dashing yet casual manner Panache

That's the role my brown leather one now fills. I don't have a camping pic, but here's hiking:

I probably will stick to using it for modern looking outfits though (since in truth I have a plethora of sporrans now )
Same here. Lamar Britt tells me he's made more sporrans for me than for anyone else.

You know, gentlemen, I bought myself a Nightstalker sporran a couple years ago. I've seen it in pictures from guys such as yourselves and really love the way it looks. It just doesn't look so great on me... I almost never use it. However, you two make it look great. And Jaime- that tartan is lovely. But then, my granny was a MacLeod, so I'm a little biased.
