    Jackets, looking for reccomendations

I'd like a sleeveless, black jacket/vest. Something quality without being too showy. Any suggestions for suppliers?
    thanks lads

Maybe something here will strike your fancy?

I've never purchased from this company, but I remembered them having a wide selection of jackets.

If you're going to spend a few $hekle$, why not just invest in an Argyle. Next to my kilts, its one of the best purchases I've made.

I thought long and hard over a jacket. I went for a black argyle from Hector Russell when I was in Inverness last year. I've worn it twice.

Most of my kilt wearing is casual and that means usually a fleece or a short black corded jacket. I have a swordsmans leather waistcoat which looks great but I would only wear it at Highland games or a ceilidh.

I guess it all depends on the individuals needs and the occasion. I'll bet there are times when you're glad you've got both. Whatever gets you into the spirit of things, I says.

I pretty well have every situation covered one way or another. It's cost me an arm and a leg to do it though!!

Great post Graham, I too have thought about which I should buy first. I think it's going to be an argyle, for practicality sake...
